Business Development Representative

Grand Studio is searching for a Business Development Representative to join our teams to help build our pipeline of new business and develop a strategy for proactive business development initiatives. This role is semi-autonomous with ample room to grow skillsets related to client pursuit and development. You will report directly to the CEO, and you will work closely with our leadership team. An ideal candidate is determined, passionate about our service offerings, and is able to come up with creative solutions to make Grand Studio the preferred choice for potential new clients.

Grand Studio has relied on word-of-mouth and repeat business for many years. We’re looking for a candidate who can help us to define an improved, sustainable process for Business Development, including outbound efforts to identify and win new business. We’re offering the opportunity to grow into a role where you lead a critical part of our business, as well as a chance to work directly with our clients, some of the largest and most prestigious companies in the country.

Expectations for the role

  • Generate new sales opportunities through preferred lead generation tactics
  • Make outbound calls and emails to new prospects, fostering new relationships with potential clientele
  • Organize new and existing client prospects in our lead tracking platform
  • Conduct research on client industries to develop specific outreach strategies
  • Assist in business capabilities presentations with new leads
  • Build sales forecasting reports to show progress, gaps, and inform leadership of recommendations for improving the sales pipeline
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of Grand Studio’s approach to business development and engagement delivery

Our expectations for an applicant

  • 2-4 years of business development or sales-related work experience; bonus points for those who have worked in an enterprise or complex sales process for design or technology services
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the utmost professionalism
  • Proficient time management skills coupled with the ability to prioritize your efforts
  • Disciplined, detailed, and organized within sales pursuits
  • High level of energy, persistence, motivation, and empathy to work with potential leads and clients with often long sales cycles
  • An entrepreneurial spirit to be able to make quick decisions and own the direction of new business generation with autonomy
  • A commitment to learning about design consultancy services and UX methodology inside our projects
  • Knowledge of our core industries such as financial services, sports and entertainment, healthcare, and food services is a plus
